In October of 2015, The Necktie Company partnered with PARC, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities, for their 46th Annual Black Tie Legacy Ball. The evening raised over $135,000 for PARC to provide services for those in need.
The Necktie company donated 150 bow ties with the PARC logo to the Magnetic Men who have been nominated throughout the years as pillars of leadership in the community. Also, several months before the event, The Necktie Company approached PARC to see if they would allow for custom ties to be fabricated from artists who work at their PARC Fine Arts Studio & Gallery. Weeks later, PARC staff showed three paintings to The Necktie Company. Those paintings are seen below along with the artist and the ties that were manufactured from the paintings. To increase cash call revenue at The Black Tie Legacy Ball, The Necktie Company committed to give a PARC Signature Tie to anyone that donated $100 or more. The cash call brought in approximately $4,500, The Necktie Company donated all Signature Ties for the cash call.
“We truly appreciate the amazing support by The Necktie Company,” shares Karen Higgins, PARC President & CEO. “It’s refreshing to know that there are businesses out there, new ones at that, who care enough to give back to their community in such a grand way.” Jackie Dryden, Chief Advancement Officer, adds “The generosity of The Necktie Company will go far at PARC. It will help to provide quality care to over 800 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We look forward to this collaboration and partnering with The Necktie Company long into the future.”
